Impact of having a 'dedicated server' vs using Amazon CloudFront CDN on SEO

0

One of my customer is using 'http://whois.domaintools.com/ to check the IP details for their website hosted on AWS.

In the 'IP Address' section, they see IP a.b.c.d - 3,882 other sites hosted on this server. Their Route 53 www.example1.com resolves to Amazon CloudFront distribution.

Compared to some other websites, which shows 'p.q.r.s is hosted on a dedicated server' (who is using NLB/ALB) i.e. www.example2.com pointing to NLB.

Does the 'dedicated server' vs '3882 other sides hosted on this server' affect the search engine ranking in any way?

Search Engines are quite familiar with the nature of CDNs and how IP scopes are being reused across the network. From the perspective of what you described I'm not aware of any potential issues or penalties from SEO point of view.

In fact, in many cases CDNs affect the SEO rating positively provided they are configured correctly. That positive effect comes from the improved security, faster page loading due to image indexing and other optimizations. Don't worry about the indicator showing you multiple IPs.
