- Go to the
Registered domains
page on Route 53 Web Console. - Select the domain to check the detail.
- Check the values of
Name servers
property. - Configure the value of
Name servers
to the name servers of the hosted zone that you newly created.

I have the exact same problem. I have tried different things. Made sure the
Name servers
property match the recently created hosted zone. Deleted the old hosted zone from previous AWS account, issued certificates, added CNAME records.. But stilldig +short _mysample.io
shows nothing.Is there anything else I should check?
I have even tried making the NS and SOA records match exactly the ones in the old account' hosted zone, but no luck.
UPDATE: Ok, after some minutes, it issued the certificate correctly. It was a matter of time. Thanks!
