IMDSv2 main usage apart from security

Hi Team,

We are planning to metadata version from IMDSv1 to IMDSv2. Apart from security to access metadata, is there any other uses with it.

Also if we enable IMDSv2, aws cli commands like aws s3 ls is impacted. Please let me know exact merits and demerits with it

Normal AWS CLI commands aws s3 ls will not be impacted.

    Also how the token auto generated. Do we need to generate the token manually once the session is closed.
