The first things I'd check are:
- Is the web server running okay? Can you connect to port 80/443 on the loopback address while SSH'd in?
- Security Groups, are you sure the right ports, protocols and IP ranges are in place?

I can SSH into the address, and status check 2/2 all seems fine. I had adjusted time zone to EST and reboot the ec2 instance and now the site is not reachable.
