Support for UEFI was announced March 2021, at this time there is no indication of when Secure boot will be added/supported. Some AWS Services like AWS Elastic BeanStalk and AWS Container Service released a public roadmap on github, EC2 has not.
Is there a particular business need or requirement for Secure Boot?
Customer feedback is super important for AWS when developing new services and features.
Hi Alex, Thanks for your response. The client I am working for is looking to implement Credential Guard on all platforms, but also wants to be consistent across all.
According to this article Secure boot is required: https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/security/identity-protection/credential-guard/credential-guard-requirements#hardware-and-software-requirements
It's been recently announced in this blog post, which says that it will be publicly available in 2022, but without a specific date: https://aws.amazon.com/blogs/compute/deep-dive-into-nitrotpm-and-uefi-secure-boot-support-in-amazon-ec2/
