Amazon SES: Custom 'Mail From' Domain still 'Pending'

Dear Forum Members,
We would like to set up our own domain as the custom 'Mail From' domain within Amazon SES for several regions, i.e. London, Ireland, ...
We use Cloudflare as the DNS for our domain and added the following records to Cloudflare:
MX	  www	eedback-smtp.eu-west-2.amazonses.com    10
TXT	  www	"v=spf1 include:amazonses.com ~all"
Initially, our domain was 'verified' for custom domain sending for the Ireland region and then we received an error message from AWS. For London it continues to show pending.
We would very much welcome your feedback and advice.

In order to verify custom Mail from, we need to confirm the following records:

subdomain.domain.com. MX
10 feedback-smtp.region.amazonses.com

subdomain.domain.com
TXT
"v=spf1 include:amazonses.com ~all"

Please confirm the domain name and we can dig for the above records to confirm.

Many thanks for your reply.

We have since discovered that in order for the custom domain 'mail from' to work with Cloudflare DNS, that we configure the DNS records in the following way:
* Type   Name                        Content                                                        Priority
* MX      www.domain.com. feedback-smtp.region.amazonses.com   10 
* TXT     www.domain.com  v=spf1 include:amazonses.com ~all

We found the following:
* subdomain must be www
* the content must not be within speech marks.
* we can only do this for one region. As soon as we start adding more Amazon SES regions, the existing ones are failing.

We find it quite surprising that it is not possible to configure multiple regions to have a 'mail from' domain.
