Availability of GitHub Source Action Version 2 in AWS CodePipeline by Region?

Question

I’m trying to set up a pipeline in AWS CodePipeline using the GitHub Source Action with Version 2. However, when deploying in the us-east-1 region, I encountered the following error:
after running my yaml template 
CodePipeline:
    Type: 'AWS::CodePipeline::Pipeline'
    Properties:
      RoleArn: !GetAtt CodePipelineServiceRole.Arn
      ArtifactStore:
        Type: S3
        Location: !Ref WebsiteBucket
      Stages:
        - Name: Source
          Actions:
            - Name: Source
              ActionTypeId:
                Category: Source
                Owner: ThirdParty
                Provider: GitHub
               ** Version: 2**    //here is my error
              OutputArtifacts:

is it not possible to create github with version2?

When you configure a GitHub version 2 source action in AWS CloudFormation, you do not include any GitHub token information or add a webhook resource. You configure a connections resource as shown in AWS::CodeStarConnections::Connection in the AWS CloudFormation User Guide.
