CloudWatch Billing Alert

I followed this guide in order to create a Billing Alarm for my account.

The alarm was successfully created on November 11. From that date the metric 'EstimatedCharges' is in 0. Doesnt matter if I change the metric, always is in 0 so obviusly the alarm is always in OK state

Hi, you are trying to create a billing alarm and fail to see any EstimatedCharges reported.

Can you please check the 2 points below:

Do you also see values at 0 in the Cost Management (https://us-east-1.console.aws.amazon.com/cost-management/home?region=us-east-1)?

Is your usage eligible to free tiers? Estimated charges only report actual charges incurred after the free tier has been exhausted.

  • I see my Daily unblended costs with no problem in Cost Management and yes, free tier is exhausted in various services After reading the documentation, it says 'The account must not be part of the Amazon Partner Network (APN) because billing metrics are not published to CloudWatch for APN accounts. For more information' it could be that? how do i check if the account is part of APN?
