Free Pro Q Developer Licenses for customer

Unfortunately, there isn't a way to offer Amazon Q Developer Pro licenses for free. Amazon Q Developer has two distinct tiers:

1. Free Tier - Available to all users without cost, but with limited functionality including 50 chat interactions per month (starting 8/1/2025) and 25 queries about AWS resources per month per account.

2. Pro Tier - Priced at $19 per month per user, offering enhanced capabilities such as 1,000 chat interactions per month (starting 8/1/2025), IP indemnity, secure cloud processing, reference tracking, and the ability to suppress public code suggestions.

After your immersion day, if your customer wants to try Amazon Q Developer Pro, they would need to subscribe through the standard subscription process, which involves using the Amazon Q Developer console to subscribe users in either a management account, member account, or standalone account depending on their AWS setup.

The customer can still have their teams try the Free Tier of Amazon Q Developer, which is available at no cost and without requiring an AWS account, though it has more limited functionality compared to the Pro tier.
