Can I import an RDS uncrypted mysql snapshot to an RDS encrypted mysql?

I have an uncrypted rds mysql, inside there are several databases so I can't afford a stop of all my applications. I have thought to create a snapshot of my actual rds mysql, create a new encrypted mysql db and then import this snapshot into new rds instance. If this isn't possible maybe can I use DMS to sync my actual uncrypted db with the new one encrypted ?

conversion of unencrypted rds mysql from snapshot to encrypted one is possible. for minimum down time please refer to https://aws.amazon.com/premiumsupport/knowledge-center/rds-encrypt-instance-mysql-mariadb/
