AWS Java SDK with EFS

Question

Hi, is there a way for the AWS Java SDK to access files stored in Amazon EFS? Are there any examples of this being done? I would like to use the AWS Java SDK to access files in EFS inside of a Lambda function. Thank you.

Hello,

EFS is a file system that is going to be used to connect EC2 instances and on-prem servers it. If you are using an application that does not run on EC2 instances but rather on other devices, such as a mobile application, it is not a good idea to store data in EFS, however if you are running code on the EC2 instances to retrieve some data you first of all have to mount the EFS file system to the EC2 Instance for it to get the data. You also have to ensure that your instance has the right permissions to access data in EFS. To use the SDK to access data on EFS, you can use the EfsClient.
