I have not visited AWS for a while, and now I cannot find my buckets - how do I get to my buckets? Thanks, Helen

To find your S3 buckets in the AWS console, follow these steps:

  1. Sign in to the AWS Management Console
  2. Open the Amazon S3 console at https://console.aws.amazon.com/s3/
  3. In the left navigation pane, choose "General purpose buckets"
  4. You should now see a list of your general purpose buckets
  5. If you want to search for a specific bucket, you can use the "Find buckets by name" field

If you still can't find your buckets, here are some potential reasons:

  1. You might be signed in to a different AWS account than the one where you created the buckets
  2. You might not have the necessary permissions to list and view S3 buckets
  3. If you're looking for buckets created in another AWS account, they won't appear in your current account's console view
  4. If you've switched browsers or computers since your last visit, ensure you're using the same credentials

As an alternative to the console, you can try listing your buckets using the AWS Command Line Interface (CLI) with the command: aws s3 ls

If you still can't locate your buckets after these checks, you might want to contact AWS Support for further assistance.

S3 buckets are regional, on the top right hand side of the AWS Console page, try changing the region you're looking into.
