To find the tags attached to a given AWS Resource at the OU Level

Question

Hi, I am trying to fetch the list of tags attached to an AWS resource when evaluated at the centralized level (OU level). Is there any direct way for implementing this problem set?

If not, can you please help me the potential ways of achieving it. I also want an additional feature where I can download the csv format of the generated data rather than further cleaning and extracting the useful data out of ton of the information collected.

You can do this with AWS Config Advanced Query using the Organization Config Aggregator. See: Querying the Current Configuration State of AWS Resources.

Something like this:

SELECT
  resourceId,
  tags
WHERE
  resourceId = 'AROAQCPVTFYGIWRJVM63L'

You can then export the results to JSON or CSV.

Something like this:

  resourceId,
  tags
