If your Amazon SES server's IP address is listed on a block list causing email bounces:

Identify the specific block list causing the issue. Contact Amazon SES support and inform them about the block list listing. Check email content, authentication (SPF, DKIM), and sending practices. Monitor IP reputation and bounce/complaint rates. Reach out to block list maintainers to explain the situation. Review and update DNS records to ensure proper configuration. Addressing the issue requires coordination between you, Amazon SES, and block list maintainers.

  • Thanks! To be clear, I'm not a spammer. :) I'm using amazon SES which has shared IP addresses for sending email, so every once in a while, one of my messages goes out from one of the SES IPs that has been put onto a block list presumably due to another customer sending spam. As far as I understand, I have to sign up and pay to get access to amazon AWS / SES support, so I'm not sure how to proceed. Do they have any automated way to submit a report like this? I'm guessing Amazon would like to find the spammers and kick them out and clean up their Ips... Also, interesting is that the spam that you see if you follow the link to the abuseipdb site, goes back many years, so this IP has been spamming for a long time, and none of the spam reports are due to my actions, they are other people using the shared IP from SES
