Cannot stop a serive

Hello, I am learning to use terraform and aws. I created a cluster and a installed a flask application with helm. Everything was working fine but then i deleted the eks cluster from the dashboard. Now terraform destroy wont work and i cannot stop the instances that have been created. Every time i stop them they keep coming up again. I just need to stop everything would be grateful for any ideas on how to do that.

It seems like you have a drift - your EKS cluster is in Terraform state file, but not actually present. Try to remove it from state by using terraform state rm and make sure there is no difference between state and actual resources. After that you should be able to destroy everything using Terraform
