Hello.
Did you create it as an IAM user?
Or is it an SSO user created in IAM Identity Center?
If you created a user using IAM Identity Center, you will need to access it from a dedicated login URL.
https://docs.aws.amazon.com/signin/latest/userguide/iam-id-center-sign-in-tutorial.html
Also, since IAM users and IAM Identity Center users are different, when signing in as an IAM Identity Center user, you cannot sign in the same way as an IAM user.

I create the user with Identity Center to provide access for human to operate management console etc. Why would the login page provide login to IAM users as IAM users are suitable for access from programs that require long-term credentials. => https://docs.aws.amazon.com/IAM/latest/UserGuide/introduction_identity-management.html
This is probably because originally there was only user management using IAM. IAM Identity Center (SSO) was a feature supported in 2017, so prior to that it was common to use IAM users. Additionally, IAM user console login is required for users who cannot use IAM Identity Center. https://aws.amazon.com/about-aws/whats-new/2017/12/announcing-aws-single-sign-on--sso/?nc1=h_ls
