Amplify can't deploy, stuck while deploying

1

I have a static site hosted on amplify and a github repository linked with the amplify app.

Everything worked fine until yesterday. I am not sure if it is the issue concerning the recent outage of AWS but when I push changes to my repo, amplify kicks in to build and deploy the pushed code. Normally it would take few minutes to Provision, Build, Deploy and verify builds but since yesterday amplify freezes in one of the steps and doesn't proceed any further.

With some minor changes, I tried to deploy my site hence I pushed my changes to the linked github repository, it got stuck in the "deploy" process. I gave it some time and waited till today and the console is still the same. I pushed some other changes today now the build process doesn't move beyond "Provisioning" phase. (See attachment). It has been more than 18 hours since I've tried to deploy my first change but no luck.

Is anyone facing similar problem lately?

I recently (24 Nov) experienced this issue on us-east-2. And any subsequent attempts to redeploy my website would also get stuck. I managed to fix the problem by manually cancelling all stuck deployments via the console interface and then redeploying again. Note that I'm deploying using the manual drag-and-drop method rather than via a repo.

Well I am fairly new to using aws amplify but when you mentioned you "canceled the deployment from console", I looked for a way to cancel the stuck deployment and redeployed the same version. Which seem to fix the issue for now, however still not sure what causes the issue.

Thank you very much.

Having the same issue.

But canceling the builds won't solve the problem.
