My RDS MySQL mas_ter account doesn't have enough privileges to allow me to create triggers

The AWS RDS docs say that the mas_ter user has TRIGGER rights, but mine does not. I don't know how to add it since my mas_ter user lacks the rights to change its own rights. How do I change the rights so that I can add triggers?

check the following parameter for MySQL log_bin_trust_function_creators

https://mariadb.com/docs/skysql/ref/mdb/system-variables/log_bin_trust_function_creators/

it is false by default set to true (1) to enable Triggers

To do this you can create a new Parameter groups then change the relevant value and assign this Parameter Group to the RDS instance
