SSM automation dynamic time out

Question

I have create a SSM automation document that uses an action 'runCommand'. in that step I need to give a dynamically timoutsecond. User will enter the timeout second and based on that value, timeout will be set. how to do this ?

Answer

All automation actions support a common "timeoutSeconds" property that must be set in the document itself. If you are referring to the "TimeoutSeconds" input for the command to be run itself, then the value for that can be passed in dynamically as a parameter and referenced in the run command step.
