Media Convert rotating portrait videos.

Question

While transcoding medias to HLS using media convert, portrait videos are auto rotated -90 degree.
I am using lambda to invoke media convert job.
*  MediaType: MOV

I tried following settings with reference to [Documentation](https://docs.aws.amazon.com/mediaconvert/latest/ug/auto-rotate.html)
 *  Auto Rotate
```

```

*  0 Degree Rotate
```

Accepted Answer

Often portrait videos captured by mobile phones will have metadata that indicates the image is a 16x9 format, yet rotated, instead of indicating a 9x16 resolution. Depending on the metadata, AWS Elemental MediaConvert will rotate the video back to the 16x9 format.

Try using Rotate: DEGREE_90 to get the transcoded outputs in the desired portrait mode.
