Update AWS Connect Chat DisplayName after chat start

Question

We can set displayname when starting a new chat with api (https://docs.aws.amazon.com/connect/latest/adminguide/pass-display-name-chat.html)

Is there anyway to update displayName after chat started?

Hi,

It is not possible to update the display name mid conversation. The only exception to this is if you use a custom CCP for the agent so that you control where this information comes from. For example you can check a custom endpoint for the data if it’s not present then use the one provided by the chat widget.

To create a custom CCP you need to use the streams API and build yourself a self hosted WebApp.
