Does the Athena JDBC Driver (v3.0) support compression of data in transit?

For example the MySQL driver has `useCompression=true`.
But this is always driver-specific.
Does the Athena JDBC driver have a similar option?

The JDBC driver does not support compression in transit. The reason is that the Athena API does not support compression of result sets at this time.

Athena supports compression formats for reading and writing data, including reading from a table that uses multiple compression formats however when the data is on transit it cannot be compressed.You can refer Athena Compression support for more information.
