Spending alerts

Question

I want to limit the damage should my account be hacked and is used to mine crypto. Is there a feature for me to set bill alerts sent to me by email whenever a set threshold is exceeded each day?

I see AWS Budget but that is a paid service.

Beginning October 15, 2020, Budget Alert is available free of charge.

An older feature called billing alarm is also available for free.

Answer

Hi:

1- Go to your AWS Console.

2- Search for Budgets.

3- Create a New Budget.

4- Configure and save your new budget according your needs.

With that you should get notified when your expense is exceeding your budget.
