I have a DNS problem with one domain

0

Hello,
I have this domain: federalbureauofinhumanity.org
I noticed a few days ago that I get getting a «Server Not Found» error. I checked the domain and hosted zone configuration and it looked ok for me. I removed and recreated the hosted zone to try and it is still not working.

I have these NS and SOA entries look good:

NS:

  • ns-377.awsdns-47.com.
  • ns-1694.awsdns-19.co.uk.
  • ns-898.awsdns-48.net.
  • ns-1482.awsdns-57.org.

SOA:

  • ns-377.awsdns-47.com. awsdns-hostmaster.amazon.com. 1 7200 900 1209600 86400

It also has a A entry which is an ALIAS to a cloudfront thing.

Can you help me find what is wrong ?

Let me know if you need more details.

Thank you.

Hi,

When you create a hosted zone, Route 53 assigns a unique set of name servers to that hosted zone. To make Route 53 the DNS service for your domain, you update the domain registration to use those hosted zones.

If you create a new hosted zone, Route 53 assigns a different set of name servers to that hosted zone. If you want to use the new hosted zone to route traffic for your domain, you need to update the domain registration to use the name servers for that hosted zone.

The name servers for your hosted zone are currently out of sync with the name serves for your domain registration. Here's how you fix that:

  1. Get the name servers that Route 53 assigned to the hosted zone. See "Getting the Name Servers for a Public Hosted Zone" in the Route 53 Developer Guide:

https://docs.aws.amazon.com/Route53/latest/DeveloperGuide/GetInfoAboutHostedZone.html

  1. Update the name servers for the domain registration. See "Adding or Changing Name Servers and Glue Records for a Domain":

https://docs.aws.amazon.com/Route53/latest/DeveloperGuide/domain-name-servers-glue-records.html
