Aws-SDK node.js modules--savings moving from V2 to V3?

I've seen some aws blog posts about cutting node module bundles by 50%+ moving to version 3 and then further cuts with optimizations.

Is the cpu/clock time savings linear? How about memory? I am not familiar with more bare metal concepts. TIA.
