Alisases Emails Undeliverable

My website sends out verification emails to new members. However, I am notified that the verification email is undeliverable. The site developer states it is an AWS issue. The emails are sent successfully with other email services. Email aliases addresses are used for different services on the website. Does AWS have issues with email aliases?
