Can't connect to EC2 instance via ssh

Question

I can't access my ec2 instance via ssh, when I try to I get returned "sign_and_send_pubkey: no mutual signature supported" I have the .pem in the directory I'm working in and I have done the "chmod 400 .pem" Can anyone help me with this please?

Hello,

This error means that the hash algorithm your key uses is not compatible with the server.   Is there a chance you're using the wrong key file? Can you try and connect using [EC2 Instance Connect](https://docs.aws.amazon.com/AWSEC2/latest/UserGuide/Connect-using-EC2-Instance-Connect.html) or [AWS Systems Manager Session Manager](https://docs.aws.amazon.com/systems-manager/latest/userguide/session-manager.html)?
