Default VPC subnets

I messed up with my VPC, and now whenever I want to launch ec2 instance from terraform, it says there is no subnets in my default vpc, but actually there is? I don't understand what the problem is.

What do you mean when you say you messed up with default VPC? If you deleted it, you can recreate it with all its default components. The same applies to recreating a default subnet. Have a look here https://docs.aws.amazon.com/vpc/latest/userguide/default-vpc.html
