"Could not connect to server "

I'm using Lightsail. Here is what I see in my web browser when I press "Connect using SSH": Screenshot

What do I do to make this my available for connection again? I prefer to keep all the data if that is possible.

General troubleshooting of that error is as in the following document.
https://repost.aws/knowledge-center/lightsail-resolve-ssh-console-errors

That error also occurs when Lightsail is under heavy load.
It can also occur when SSH stops due to some other reason.

If a snapshot remains, it is easiest to restore from that snapshot.

  • It almost worked. I utilized the solution under "An OS-level firewall is blocking SSH port access" that advised creating a new instance. I can now connect to the new instance via ssh.

However, I'm now getting this error in terminal: bitnami@ip-172-26-4-79:~$ sudo chmod -R 755 /opt/bitnami/apache/htdocs sudo: /usr/bin/sudo must be owned by uid 0 and have the setuid bit set

What should I do to fix it?
