AWS announces preview of AWS Interconnect - multicloud

AWS announces AWS Interconnect – multicloud (preview), providing simple, resilient, high-speed private connections to other cloud service providers. AWS Interconnect - multicloud is easy to configure and provides high-speed, resilient connectivity with dedicated bandwidth, enabling customers to interconnect AWS networking services such as AWS Transit Gateway, AWS Cloud WAN, and Amazon VPC to other cloud service providers with ease.

Application installation hung and caused VM to run for 50 hours

I was configuring a VM using the ANSYS gateway for AWS and during installation the machine was idling, it did not complete the installation or applied the 30-minute disconnect > shutdown rule. I was charged for over 50 hours. I restarted the VM and the installation completed in a couple of hours and shutdown as it was supposed to. is there any recourse for the charges?
