Getting failure while sending mail from MS SQL send dbmail to amazon ses even after upgrading to tls 1.2

I'm sending reports through my mssql server using send db mail. My server was earlier using tls 1.0. I upgraded to TLS 1.2 and verified that TLS 1.2 was being used to send mails using wireshark. Still mails are not getting sent. Wireshark doesn't show any error in packets. Just getting "Failure sending mail"
