How to access SES inbox to open verification email?

Hi, I'm trying to verify my email identity admin@braindocacademy.com.au I was following instructions here https://docs.aws.amazon.com/ses/latest/dg/creating-identities.html#verify-email-addresses-procedure and it says to open inbox to receive verification email. My issue is, how do I open that inbox in the first place? I don't know how to open my inbox so that I can open the verification email. I've tried gmail, outlook, etc, and various options but none worked. Any help is much appreciated! Thank you, Carl
