Lightsail instance FTP connection

I need to delete a few files on the server, only way I know to get to them is via ftp. when I try to delete those files I get permission denied message. I am logged in with bitnami username. Is it possible to fix ?

Hi, are you using Lightsail exclusively or are you also using AWS Transfer Family for FTP?
