You'll have to register a new domain, you can't "edit" the name of the domain you've already registered.
The steps to relinquish the domain you've already registered are here https://docs.aws.amazon.com/Route53/latest/DeveloperGuide/domain-delete.html

No, You can't change the name of the root domain. You might need to reconsider buying a new one
Additionally, consider setting up 301 redirects to ensure that any existing links to your website are redirected to the new domain name.

Thank you, Sir. I figured as much but when I looked over the page you linked me too earlier tonight. Something about it confused me then. Thanks again for your help clearing that up for me.
Cheers
