I assume this refers to using NLP models like GPT-2/3/J for content writing? If so, then my experience is that these models are very promising. That being said, it will require either some thoughtful prompt engineering or some fine-tuning as well as some experimentation to get the desired results. But all in all, I saw some good results from using GPT-J. See also this related blog post.
It requires loads of creativity, patience and devotion to learn. At the same time, flunking deadlines is not an option. Further, the finished job needs to be crisp, informative and interesting. So, content writing is a gigantic job but is extremely fulfilling if you enjoy what you write
