Domain not verified in workmail

I am having an issue verifying my domain with workmail. I clicked the "Update All in Route 53" button and it has been pending verification for more than 72 hours.

I did the following steps to setup my domain with AWS.

  • I registered a domain with Route 53, then setup a website with Lightsail for that domain
  • Lightsail has it's own Domain and DNS records. The website works fine and the domain resolves to my website
  • I setup workmail
  • None of the verification worked on workmail. The error message on workmail said the domain was not authoritative
  • I found a post that said to make sure the name servers all match. They didn't. I copied the Lightsail nameserver list to the Route 53 NS record
  • Verification on the workmail domain is still pending

I'm thinking that I should have copied the route 53 name servers to the lightsail nameserver list instead?

Hi,

I'm sorry you're experiencing problems with the verificaiton of your domain. Since you're using LightSail you will need to (manually) add the required domain records in LightSail.
