AWS Lightsail hosting own service

Question

Hello,

I have a AWS Lightsail instance which hosts my WordPress static webpage for me.  I'm wondering if I can manually install  (or extend) the website with a Golang webserver end point (api endpoint) that would additionally responsed to  a query i.e. www.aws-site.com/api/do/someting which I'd install through SSH or so.
If this is possible, is there limit on number of requests comming in and pricing? My instance is the basic 512MB Ram, 1vCPU.

Hello and thank you for choosing Lightsail!

You can certainly add additional software to any Lightsail instance even when started using an application blueprint like WordPress. You should consult the Bitnami documentation (https://docs.bitnami.com/general/apps/wordpress/) for information about how the system is structured.

There are no limits to the number of requests that can be serviced by your instance, however, there is an allowance on the amount of bandwidth (raw count of bytes transferred over time) that can be transfered for each instance. If this allowance is exceeded data transfer overage charges will apply (see https://aws.amazon.com/lightsail/pricing/ for more information). For your instance size your allowance is 1TB in most regions and 0.5TB in Mumbai and Sydney.
