Beanstalk randomly looses EC2 instances, scaling group, and is quite unstable

0

Hi,

We have a beanstalk setup that is running for quite some time without bigger issues. Since mid December we are seeing that the hosted application becomes randomly unavailable multiple times a day. These outages are about 5-10 minutes long. It is really hard to nail down, but it looks like the instances are becoming unusable and it takes some time to spin them up again. To decrease the impact on our customers we moved to have at least two instances running, but now we are seeing both instances dying at the same time. We had also multiple occasions where the system didn't recover and we had to remove them manually to get everything back up and running again. Today we finally saw an error message when it happened:

Service:AmazonCloudFormation, Message:Resource AWSEBAutoScalingGroup does not exist for stack awseb-e-qa3p27em2p-stack

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks

  • Hello, can you provide the relevant cloudwatch logs so we can potentially pinpoint the issue? Thanks!
