My FPGA image generation is pending

I used the create_vitis_afi.sh to create the awsxclbin file. However, when I check the image status using:
aws ec2 describe-fpga-images --fpga-image-ids <afi-id>

I see the state code as pending. How long should I expect it to be ready? If it is pending for a very long time, what should I do? I cannot find anything under the log folder on S3.
