AWS provides free tier for 1 year which allows you to host a decent website for free for 1 year. Even after that cost for static website is so minimal that is almost none.
I would recommend not to worry about filezilla and instead go for S3 + Cloudfront based website.
You can check below tutorial which also shows possible cost: https://aws.amazon.com/getting-started/hands-on/host-static-website/

Thank you for the info! Any idea what the approximate AWS cost would be after 1yr, and when we look up 'Cloudfront vs Filezilla' it appears Cloudfront is also not free ?
You should be able to the AWS Pricing Calculator to estimate this: https://calculator.aws/#/estimate
Also, the free tier has been updated: https://aws.amazon.com/blogs/aws/aws-free-tier-data-transfer-expansion-100-gb-from-regions-and-1-tb-from-amazon-cloudfront-per-month/
