Amazon Connect - "You've reached the limit of Phone Numbers. To increase limit, contact support"

Hi AWS Support, I got locked out of my Amazon Connect instance so I deleted it. I created a new instance, but now I CANNOT Claim a phone number. I get a message "You've reached the limit of Phone Numbers. To increase limit, contact support" - see error attached as screenshot.

NOTE: I deleted the previous Amazon Connect instance so I do NOT have access to the original Phone Number DID that I claimed.

Please let me know how I can claim phone number and continue using Amazon Connect?

Hi,

as the error suggests, contact Support so they can solve the issue. This is also mentioned in this guide (check Phone numbers per instance section) https://docs.aws.amazon.com/connect/latest/adminguide/amazon-connect-service-limits.html

Also there are certain implications when deleting a Connect instance and its phone number, as pointed out in this post: https://repost.aws/questions/QU75xdZbLARqiEPvAYL0Nkow/amazon-connect-restoring-phone-number
