The function day_of_week(<timestamp>) or the alias dow(<timestamp>) return the day of the week. These functions return an integer, the value ranges from 1 (Monday) to 7 (Sunday).
The function hour(<timestamp>) returns the hour of the day, the value ranges from 0 to 23.
