After a year or two with Lightsail, my site was down today

Question

In the Lightsail console, it shows Unknown for status and trying to stop it doesn't seem to be working. The AWS dashboard shows Lightsail services are all green. Yeah, I don't think so. Trying to stop it again I get an Error dialog saying cannot stop an instance in transition!?!?!?!!?!?!?!?!!!?!!?!??!?!?!?!?!?!?!?  
  
I might be headed back to Linode. This is service from a multi-billion dollar company?  
  
I used my snapshot, had to update a few files that the super smart cloud config blindly overwrites in its wisdom.

From our record, there is only one instance up and running in 'us-east-2', which was created at Apr. 12, 2019. Do you still meet problem with Lightsail? You can contact customer support and cut us a customer ticket so that we can provide more supports. We can provide more personal and detailed info in customer ticket :)
