Call Third party API call from Amplify Lambda

Hello, I would like to create a third party API call from an amplify lambda. I have seen the following page: https://docs.amplify.aws/cli/function/ but no example of a simple external API call with an Authorization Bearer token which is quite common. Could someone provide one example for the supported Lambda runtimes ? Thanks in advance.
