Impact of Spend Plan commitments on Account Closeout

I am aware that if an account is closed, it will continue billing for spend plan commitments until the end of the plan. Is there any way to pay that amount up front to prevent future billing to what may become an invalid payment method?

Savings Plans cannot be modified later, so you will be billed monthly unless you have purchased an "All Upfront" plan.
I don't think it is possible to pay in a lump sum later.
