How to monitor replication with Aurora

I am replicating from on-prem to Aurora, and would like to be notified if the replication process fails. Has anyone done this before? I can't find any documentation or reference.

Have you taken a look at this document that talks about sending DMS events to Amazon Eventbridge - https://docs.aws.amazon.com/dms/latest/userguide/CHAP_EventBridge.html

With older versions of DMS it was possible with SNS instead of Eventbridge - https://docs.aws.amazon.com/dms/latest/userguide/CHAP_Events.html

I'm not using DMS. Looks like these events are specific to DMS tasks. Any other ideas?
