How do I CC another email address on account-related correspondence from AWS?
I'd want a copy of my account-related emails to be sent to another email address, as well as my root email address.
Resolution
To get a copy of account-related emails sent to additional email addresses, you must add an alternate contact to your account. For instructions on adding contacts, see Update the alternate contacts for your AWS account.
You can add up to three alternative email addresses to your account. Each alternative email address must be assigned a contact type:
- Billing
- Operations
- Security
Alternative email addresses only receive correspondences related to the assigned contact type. For example, a Billing alternate contact receives notifications of finalized AWS bills. For more information, see How do I add or update billing contact information?
If you need to CC more email addresses, consider adding a shared inbox or distribution list as your additional contact.
