How do I activate a deactivated AWS Region?
I want to know why some AWS Regions are deactivated by default and how I can activate them.
Resolution
AWS Regions that were introduced after March 20, 2019 are deactivated by default.
For instructions on activating and deactivating a Region, see Specifying which AWS Regions your account can use.
For additional information and billing considerations, see Activating and deactivating Regions.
Note: You can't deactivate any of the original Regions that are activated by default.
Tip: Use policy conditions to control access to AWS services in a Region.
