When do I get confirmation of my AWS bill payment?

I want to know why I haven't received confirmation of my payment for AWS services.

Resolution

You receive monthly AWS invoices for usage charges and recurring fees. For one-time fees, such as fees to purchase an All Upfront Amazon Elastic Compute Cloud (Amazon EC2) Reserved Instance, you're charged immediately. Your default payment method is usually charged between the third and the fifth day of every month.

After you submit your payment, your payment might take up to 24 hours to display Succeeded in the AWS Billing and Cost Management console. To see your payment history, open the Transactions tab on the Payments page of the AWS Billing and Cost Management console.

Your payment method determines the period for a transaction to complete successfully.

The following list provides the periods for some common accepted payment methods to complete successfully:

Note: The Billing and Cost Management console might show Succeeded before the listed period.

  • Credit and debit card payments can take up to 24 hours.
  • ACH debit payments can take up to 20 days. AWS creates your invoice and initiates the charge within 10 days of the start of the month.
  • Wire transfers can take up to 7 days. AWS creates your invoice and initiates the charge within 10 days of the start of the month.
  • China bank redirect payments, for customers based in China, can take up to 24 hours.
  • Net banking account payments, for Amazon Web Services India Private Limited (AWS India) customers, can take up to 24 hours.
  • SEPA direct debit payments**,** for Amazon Web Services EMEA SARL (AWS Europe) customers, can take up to 5 business days. AWS creates your invoice and initiates the charge on the invoice due date or the following day.
