I want to make a payment to my AWS account. I want to use wire transfers or invoicing to make the payment.

Resolution

If you're invoiced or use net 30 terms as your default payment method for your AWS account, then AWS bank details appear on your invoice. Or, in the AWS Management Console, you can find your details on the Billing and Cost management page under Payment methods.

Wire transfers

To initiate a wire transfer, complete the following steps:

  1. Contact your bank to initiate a wire transfer.
  2. Provide the AWS bank and payment remittance details found on your invoice.
  3. To make sure that your payment is correctly applied to your invoice, use the full invoice number as your reference.
  4. Include your AWS account number and any reference number AWS specifies in the wire transfer detail. These details help AWS identify your payment and apply it to the correct account.
  5. Confirm the payment with your bank.
  6. Send the confirmation of your payment to AWS.

Invoicing

To receive an invoice for your account usage, contact AWS Support from the root user account. Request an invoice for your account usage and provide the necessary information. You can also contact AWS Support from the root user account to update your billing preference from invoicing to a supported payment type.

Troubleshoot invoicing issues

When you use net banking for payments in the AWS Management Console, you might encounter issues. Review the following information to troubleshoot common issues:

  • Browser cache and cookies: To avoid possible issues from stored data, clear your browser cache and cookies before you attempt a transaction.
  • Incorrect credentials: Review your credentials. Make sure that you enter the correct net banking credentials. Mistyped usernames or passwords can result in authentication failures.
  • Two-factor authentication (2FA) issues: If your net banking requires two-factor authentication, then make sure that you correctly complete the authentication process.
  • Incorrect account details: To avoid misdirected transactions, review your recipient details and payment information for incorrect details.
  • Insufficient funds or limitations: Make sure that your default bank account for net banking has sufficient funds to cover your transactions. Also, make sure that you haven't reached any daily limits that you might have.
  • Expired or blocked cards: If you use a debit or credit card for net banking, then make sure that the card isn't expired. Also, make sure that the card isn't blocked by the issuing bank.
  • Network issues: Check your poor internet connectivity or network issues. These issues can disrupt the transaction process.
  • Bank service downtime: Check if your bank's net banking services are down. If your bank's net banking services are temporarily down for, then the transactions might not be processed.

If you continue to have issues, then reach out to AWS Support and your banking institution for assistance.
